Drive-In Rack in Owasso, OK
In Owasso, drive-in rack can consolidate repetitive reserve pallets while leaving mixed parts inventory in more accessible storage. It is among the densest pallet storage options because forklifts enter the storage block instead of using an aisle beside every row. The strongest fit is many pallets of a few SKUs.
Drive-in pallet rack should not become the default location for every incoming item. Aerospace and aviation parts operations may have repetitive packaged supplies alongside items that need individual access. Separate those handling patterns before selecting lane depth, and give partial pallets a location outside the deep lanes.
Our team works as a division of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co., supplying and installing rack since 1997. We work from pallet measurements and the actual truck fleet to establish a layout that operators can use without depending on unusually tight maneuvers.
Start with pallet support and protected entries
Rail and guide sizing must follow the pallet underside, bearing width, maximum loaded weight and truck envelope. A drawing based only on the outside pallet dimensions misses how the load actually rests on the rails. Include overhang and load stability in the review, especially where packaging differs between suppliers.
Guide rails establish the travel line, column guards protect exposed entry uprights, and rail-end protection covers vulnerable leading edges. None replaces careful operation or inspection. Make sure the selected protection leaves adequate wheel, mast and pallet clearance throughout the approach, rather than creating a new pinch point.
For installation, agree where material can be staged without blocking receiving or production traffic. Confirm the height available beneath obstructions, not merely the advertised building clearance. In hot, non-air-conditioned space, plan work staging around heat; allow communication time when severe weather or ice changes site access.
Drive-in rack for repeat stock, not every part
Dense lanes can reduce the footprint devoted to reserve material, leaving other areas available for order assembly or short-run work. The calculation needs to account for partly filled lanes. If each product occupies a lane but rarely fills it, a nominally dense design may hold fewer useful pallets than expected.
Cooler and freezer users can gain storage within refrigerated cube by replacing some aisles with pallet positions. Rotation requirements still govern the layout. Where loads need frequent independent retrieval, compare pushback; where every pallet must be reached directly, selective rack is generally the better starting point.

Operations We Rack Around Here
For aerospace/aviation parts and light manufacturing around Owasso Industrial Park and US-169, lane assignments should distinguish bulk reserve loads from varied parts stock. At N Garnett Rd or the 116th Street industrial area, preserve the approach space needed to turn from receiving into the proposed drive-in rack storage block.
How drive-in pallet rack sets the handling sequence
Forklifts drive into drive-in pallet rack lanes between structural frames and deposit pallets on continuous support rails. This brings the truck inside the storage structure, making operating clearances part of the rack design rather than an aisle-width decision alone.
Single-ended lanes
One open end establishes a LIFO sequence, meaning the last pallet placed is normally the first removed. Use it where that order is acceptable for the assigned product.
Access from both ends
Drive-thru racking can support FIFO by receiving pallets at one face and retrieving from the other. Both faces need clear working aisles to maintain that sequence.
Truck fit checks
Mast height, overall truck width and turning clearance decide lane dimensions and entry geometry. Review the actual attachments and loaded lifting capability before setting rail levels.
Depth by inventory
Choose depth using normal pallets per SKU and the batches that must stay separate. Extra-deep lanes do not help when stock levels leave most rear positions unused.

Plan an Owasso drive-in rack quote
Share the floor area, truck models, pallet construction, loaded dimensions and maximum weights. Include the usual quantity of each repeat product and how often full pallets leave storage. We can use those operating details to compare drive-in rack density with access and define a practical installation scope. Call (918) 296-8162.
