Cantilever Rack in Claremore, OK
Cantilever rack in Claremore gives fabrication stock an open loading face, with arms extending from upright columns rather than front posts dividing every position. A long tube bundle can be placed across several supports without being threaded between pallet-rack frames. The arrangement works best when support locations follow the material, not a convenient bay dimension.
A useful stock survey separates bar, pipe and tube by length, bundle depth and maximum weight. Lumber, sheet goods and furniture require the same attention to bearing surfaces, even when their shapes look less demanding. With cantilever racking, a light but flexible load may need closer supports than a heavier rigid section.
As a division of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co., we have supplied and installed storage systems since 1997. Our layout discussion starts with what moves through the building, how it arrives and how operators remove it for the next production step.
Cantilever Rack Geometry for Fabrication Stock
Build the support plan around a representative load list, including occasional heavy bundles. The column, base, bracing and arms need a compatible rating for the intended arrangement; choosing an arm in isolation does not establish the capacity of the finished run.
Match the bundle depth
Specify arm reach from the actual front-to-back bundle dimension. Capacity must cover the weight carried by each arm at the intended load position.
Control unsupported length
A starting layout for suitable rigid stock places supports roughly half the load length apart, with even end overhang. Review sag before applying that arrangement to thin-wall tube or flexible material.
Choose the arm profile
Straight arms support many squared bundles. Inclined arms with lips can help contain round stock, with the lip arrangement selected for the material and loading method.
Select loading faces
Use a single-sided run where only one face can be approached. Double-sided storage makes use of a central position but requires working aisles on both sides.
Installation Starts with the Handling Route
Mark the proposed rack footprint and follow a bundle from the receiving door to its storage position. Check forklift turning space, mast clearance and the ability to pull clear after placement. If a side-loader is used, review its travel direction and transfer movement with the intended load length.
Cantilever rack bases must be anchored using the arrangement selected for the rack and supporting slab. Review floor condition and base locations before unloading components, especially when an older building has narrow work areas. Protect the installation zone from production traffic until the assembled run is ready for use.
An outdoor cantilever storage rack needs an exposure-appropriate finish and an assessment of drainage and supporting surfaces. Indoor storage avoids some weather exposure but still needs attention to usable height and moisture-sensitive stock. Spring storms or winter ice can change delivery and installation access, so keep staging arrangements flexible.
When Cantilever Racking Beats Pallet Positions
Choose the cantilever rack format when long stock is the handling problem. Operators can assign positions by length and material type without front uprights splitting the opening. That can make a mixed fabrication inventory easier to sort, provided each assigned position retains the supports required by its load.
Selective pallet rack suits palletized cartons, packaged components and other goods carried on sound pallets. It should not be dismissed merely because a shop also stores long steel. A combined layout can place pallet inventory nearer assembly while reserving the long-load run for raw stock and oversized pieces.

Operations We Rack Around Here
For manufacturing and metal fabrication around Rogers County Industrial Park and SH-66, rack placement should preserve the route between receiving and cutting equipment. Access from I-44 / Will Rogers Turnpike is a receiving consideration, but the internal bundle movement sets the aisle and run orientation.
