Cantilever Rack in Tulsa, OK
Cantilever rack in Tulsa stores long and bulky loads on arms extending from upright columns, leaving the front unobstructed for placement and retrieval. Instead of fitting material between front posts, an operator approaches an open series of supports. The package, support geometry and truck movement must still work as one system.
Bar, pipe, tube and lumber are common starting points for this arrangement. Sheet goods and furniture can need decking, broader bearing surfaces or contact protection. The right cantilever storage rack reflects those needs as well as maximum bundle weight, rather than treating all long inventory as interchangeable.
Our supplying and installing work began in 1997; today we serve as a division of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. We review what the building and material-handling equipment can accommodate before recommending row height or arm levels.
Set Tulsa cantilever rack dimensions from inventory
Keep the shortest retained piece and the heaviest arriving bundle on the same planning list. Both affect the layout, although they may belong in separate locations with different support intervals or arm elevations.
Reach and bearing
Measure the full bundle depth to establish arm length and appropriate bearing. Determine capacity from the actual load carried by each engaged arm, accounting for unequal weight sharing where necessary.
Spacing and flex
Place columns according to material stiffness and acceptable sag between supports. Review overhang at the row ends and avoid layouts where short stock rests on too few arms.
Shape and restraint
Straight arms suit suitable flat packages, while inclined arms with lips help retain round material. The selected shape must work with bundling and the way operators remove individual pieces.
Anchored load path
Anchored bases transfer the row loads into a suitable concrete slab. Review the column, base, fastening and floor together rather than using an individual arm rating as the whole-system limit.
Where cantilever racking belongs in the warehouse
Cantilever racking is a practical option when length or bulk makes standard pallet positions a poor fit. It separates stock vertically and gives direct approach to each assigned group. Those advantages disappear if mixed lengths are placed without regard to their required bearing points.
Selective pallet rack is generally better suited to conventional palletized cartons and other beam-supported unit loads. Many operations need both approaches. Draw the transfer area between them so long material does not sweep through pallet picking or block a receiving route.
Single-sided rows can face inward from a perimeter location; double-sided rows can serve separate aisles in the interior. Compare useful access, not merely the number of arms in a floor rectangle. Each face needs room for a loaded truck to align and lift without borrowing occupied staging space.

Operations We Rack Around Here
Around North Mingo Industrial Park and the Tulsa International Airport area, aerospace parts, metal fabrication and building materials call for load-specific support and clear transfer lanes. Newer 32-36+ ft clear tilt-wall bulk buildings in north/northeast Tulsa offer a different height envelope from older 18-24 ft clear West Tulsa stock, but usable levels still depend on truck reach and lifting clearance.
Coordinate lift access and installation space
A forklift aisle must accommodate the carried bundle through turns, door approaches and final positioning. A side-loader changes how a long package moves but still needs a checked travel envelope. Include the actual truck dimensions and load lengths when reviewing the drawing.
Indoor cantilever rack should leave clearance for raising material above the arms before withdrawal. Outdoor rows require an exposure-appropriate finish and a suitable anchored foundation arrangement. The stored inventory may need protection beyond anything provided by the rack coating, especially where surfaces or packaging are sensitive to moisture.
Plan installation around receiving and production rather than assuming all nearby floor area will be empty. Identify unloading, component assembly and temporary inventory zones. Heat in non-air-conditioned buildings, severe spring weather and winter ice can change the sequence, particularly when assembly or staging occurs outside.
Keep a record of the final loading plan after installation. Future changes in package depth, material stiffness or level count deserve review before reassignment. Empty space above a load is not evidence that the structure has capacity for another loaded level.
