Drive-In Rack in Glenpool, OK
Drive-in rack in Glenpool puts reserve pallets into deep lanes instead of dividing every row with a forklift aisle. It is among the densest storage arrangements for palletized inventory, particularly when you carry many pallets of a few SKUs. The gain comes from reducing access aisles, not from squeezing trucks into unsafe working space.
A lane works best when its contents move as a batch. Before choosing depth, compare pallets per SKU, replenishment patterns and the number of lots that must stay separate. A deep lane that regularly sits half empty can waste the floor area it was meant to recover.
For consumer-goods distribution, drive-in pallet rack can hold reserve stock behind a more accessible picking area. Keep mixed cases and small pallet quantities elsewhere. We operate as a division of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co., in the rack business since 1997.
Where drive-in rack earns its floor space
The strongest application is repeat pallet loads with limited SKU variety and enough inventory to fill each lane. Separating lanes by product or lot keeps retrieval practical. Reserve capacity should follow real stock levels rather than the largest delivery the warehouse has ever received.
Cooler and freezer space makes aisle reduction especially valuable because the cooled cube must earn its keep. Account for usable storage height, pallet overhang and truck access before assuming every cubic foot can hold inventory. Confirm equipment suitability for the operating temperature as part of selection.
Selective rack remains the better choice when every pallet needs independent access. Pushback can suit operations wanting several pallets deep without driving a truck into the structure. Compare those options against your rotation rules and available aisle width, not density alone.

Operations We Rack Around Here
For consumer-goods warehouses along US-75 and the West 141st corridor, we plan drive-in rack lane entrances around receiving traffic and outbound staging. Access toward I-44 / Turner Turnpike also makes delivery sequencing worth discussing before installation blocks a working dock.
How drive-in pallet rack lanes operate
The truck enters the drive-in pallet rack lane to place and retrieve loads. Continuous support rails carry the pallets along both sides; their elevation and spacing must match the pallet and handling method.
One entry, last out
With one open end, drive-in operates LIFO: the last pallet placed is the first retrieved. Assign stock that can tolerate that sequence.
Access from two ends
Drive-thru racking provides entry and exit at opposite ends and can support FIFO when loading and retrieval follow that direction. Reserve access space at both faces.
Truck envelope first
Mast height, truck width and turning clearance decide lane dimensions. Check the loaded truck through the entry turn and at the highest placement, not just while parked.
Pallets set rail spacing
Size rails and guides around actual pallet dimensions, underside bearing surfaces and load weight. Include pallet variation so damaged or undersized bases do not become a handling problem.
Specify drive-in rack around daily handling
Guide rails help establish the truck path; column guards and rail-end protection address vulnerable contact points at entry. These parts need room in the layout. Verify clearances with protection included rather than adding it after lane widths have been selected.
Inspect representative pallets before finalizing the support arrangement. Record loaded height, width, depth and any bulging cartons. A nominal pallet size alone does not describe the load a driver must place between rails several positions inside a lane.
Installation should preserve a workable route between active docks and storage. In mostly non-air-conditioned buildings, summer heat affects crew staging and handling plans. Discuss spring storms or winter ice when sequencing deliveries, and agree how completed lanes will be released for use.
